Mechanical Pipe Plug and Pipe Test Plug DN 12 - 90
Pipe stoppers based on nitrile rubber (water and oil resistant). With metal parts made of galvanized steel. Pipe plugs for shutting off and testing pipelines, suitable for internal pipe pressures up to 8 bar. Nominal width depending on model from 12 - 90 mm. Range of application depending on model from 11.8 mm - 99 mm. Plug length depending on model 20.0 - 40.0 mm. Pipe plugs are mechanical devices designed for the secure sealing, blocking, or testing of pipelines of various types. They are suitable for both short-term operations and extended applications in sewer systems, pipe rehabilitation projects, water and wastewater facilities, or industrial environments. Thanks to their robust construction, mechanical pipe plugs offer a reliable and durable solution for the temporary decommissioning or sealing of lines These plugs are installed directly inside the pipe and are securely pressed against the pipe wall - either through mechanical tension or via the contact pressure exerted by the rubber body. This creates a reliable seal without the need for compressed air or an external supply. Unlike inflatable pipe stoppers, mechanical pipe plugs do not require air inflation; consequently, they are particularly low-maintenance and offer excellent long-term stability. Each pipe plug covers a specific diameter range. For instance, a DN 50 pipe plug is typically suitable for pipe diameters ranging from approximately 48 to 55 mm. Precise details regarding the specific application range for each product can be found under the "Technical Details" section. A major advantage of mechanical pipe plugs is their exceptional long-term stability. Depending on the specific application and operating conditions, they can often remain inside the pipe for several days or weeks without requiring pressure replenishment or readjustment. This makes them ideally suited for extended construction phases, pipe rehabilitation projects, leak testing, or maintenance work in industrial facilities. Our pipe plugs are also available with a central bypass port. For work environments involving elevated temperatures - such as in heating systems or certain industrial processes - we also offer plugs that are temperature-resistant up to 230°C. To be observed: For internal pipe pressures > 1 bar the pipe stoppers must be secured against slipping out.
Mechanical Pipe Plug and Pipe Test Plug with Bypass DN 16 - 90
Pipe stoppers based on nitrile rubber (water and oil resistant), with bypass. With metal parts made of galvanized steel. Pipe plugs for shutting off and testing pipelines, suitable for backpressure up to 8 bar. Nominal width depending on model from 16 - 90 mm. Range of application depending on model from 15.6 mm - 99 mm. Plug length depending on model 20.0 - 40.0 mm. Advantages of Mechanical Pipe Plugs High pressure resistance – suitable for applications with increased back pressure. In general, pipe plugs and sealing discs must be secured against slipping out when internal pipe pressure exceeds 1 bar. Suitable for long-term use – depending on the application, they can remain safely installed inside the pipe for extended periods. Temperature-resistant versions available – ideal for applications involving higher temperatures or demanding operating conditions. Compact and space-saving design – perfect for tight pipe systems and hard-to-reach areas. Reusable and durable – robust materials ensure a long service life and allow for multiple uses.
