Our all-purpose cover lifters DH 18b and DH 18c are the right manhole cover lifting devices if you want to break loose, lift, move away and reinsert heavy manhole covers of round manholes or area covers with a dead weight of up to 2,400 kg. 1 piece = 1 pair.  Our heavy-duty manhole cover lifters with integrated parking brake and suspension brackets for suspension tools unfold their effect through a patented principle: a spindle with support plate for breaking loose extremely tight covers. This provides a gigantic break-away force that corresponds to several times the weight of the lid. This method ensures direct and effective force transmission and protects the manhole cover and its surroundings because not only is the cover pulled with a gigantic force, but the manhole cover frame is subjected to downward counterpressure with the same force. This prevents the manhole cover frame from being torn out by mere uncoordinated pulling on the cover.  Additional suspension tools are required for this manhole cover lifting device (you will find these further down in the product recommendations), depending on the cover to be opened. If you are not sure about the selection of the optimal hooking tools, please feel free to send us photos of the cover and the tool holder.
